My name is Andrea’ Boyd (often called Drea’) and I am a sophomore member of the Honors Program here at SNC. I am from a very small town called Plainfield, WI, located about an hour and forty-five minutes from campus. I come from a relatively large mixed family. I have 2 step sisters and 2 step brothers who are older than me. I also have an older sister who attends UW-Eau Claire and a younger brother who is a senior in high school. And of course, I have three dogs! I am pursuing Biology on the pre-med track with hopes of becoming a pediatric oncologist! I was pretty involved throughout high school and spent a lot of my time invested in both sports and academics. I served as our Varsity captain for volleyball, basketball, and track-with basketball being my absolute favorite! I also served as Class President, Student, Council President, and as a School Board Representative. Here at St. Norbert, I like to be involved in organizations and clubs on campus as well. I am currently involved in Colleges Against Cancer, Dance Marathon, American Medical Student Association, Pre-Health Club, TRIPS, Honors Pulse Staff Writer, and I am the Honors Research Fellow! I often find myself crammed in a study room late at night surrounded by snacks and friends. However, I do like to have fun whether it be car rides with the music blasting or an off-campus adventure. One of my favorite things to do is grab coffee at Ed’s (the white chocolate mocha is my favorite!) I even try to find time to squeeze in episodes of my favorite show Grey’s Anatomy-of course! One of the things I like the most about Saint Norbert is the endless amount of opportunities that the school and campus has to offer. Whether you want to present undergraduate research or have a karaoke contest in GMS, SNC has it all! Not to mention, the cafeteria food is actually pretty great too! St. Norbert is truly an amazing campus with so much to offer, but being a member of the Honors Program makes it even better!
