Dobrý den studenti! This month we are featuring twin brothers Roman and Radek Buss. The two sophomore year honors students come all the way from Prague, Czech Republic (as is proudly displayed on their T-Shirts). Thanks to local exchange student programs, Roman and Radek were able to fully immerse themselves in the greater Green Bay community while also attending American high school. It is as a result of the time that they spent in the U.S. that the brothers found out about St. Norbert College and chose to enroll here beginning in the Fall of 2015. While they both keep busy in their chosen areas of study, Radek a Biology major with an Economics minor and Roman an Economics major with a Political Science minor, they are still able to find time for extracurricular activities; “We both really enjoy participating in intramurals and getting to play sports with our friends, as well as being involved with different groups on campus.” Not only do they enjoy intramurals, but they’ve been quite successful in them as well. Last year their team, “SNC Squirrels,” made it to the finals in dodge ball and were the undefeated champions of the intramural soccer league. Surprisingly enough, they both still have time to be RA’s and Roman is an active member on SGA while Radek sits as an E-Board member in Habitat for Humanity and Pre-Health Club. It’s clear that the two Czech natives have adapted to college life nicely and are taking full advantage of all that SNC and its Honor’s Program has to offer.
