Graduating Class: 2018

Major: Biology

Current Occupation: Second-Year Vet School Student, Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine.

 Location: North Grafton, MA

Future Plans: Michaela will graduate with her DVM in the spring of 2022. She is currently undecided on what exactly she plans to pursue after graduation, but she is thinking about something small animals or equine medicine.

Post SNC Update: “After graduating from St. Norbert, I moved to the East Coast to a small city called North Grafton, MA to start veterinary school at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. My undergrad career at SNC—especially through the experiences I was able to earn through the Honors Program—really helped me decide that this was truly the path I wanted to pursue. My first year at Tufts was one of the most stressful, academically challenging, yet fulfilling years of my life to this point. The further along in my education I get, the more I genuinely enjoy learning about the field I’m passionate about. At Tufts, I am currently on the Large Animal Tech Team, and that experience has made choosing between small animal and equine medicine extremely difficult!

Although I’m not sure exactly what I wish to do with my DVM once I have earned it, I will most likely move back to the Green Bay/Appleton area to practice to be closer to my family and close friends back home. I also participated in the 2016 honors trip to Spain, which ignited my travel bug, so after graduation I also hope to be able to spend a bit exploring and experiencing new places. I will always be extremely grateful for my time at SNC and how it shaped me as an individual and helped me grow to be in the place I am currently!”

We are so happy to have Michaela as one of our Honors Program and SNC alumnae. We cannot wait to see where her future leads and how she may shape the Green Bay community upon her return!
